How many hours per week do you feel are lost to C3D problems?

Open Command

As one of the guiney pigs for C3D2010 with Windows 7 as 64-bit (W7-64), I have had 4 installs & Autodesk cannot solve my Cadd problem. The OPEN dialog box keeps reverting to "Desktop" as soon as I pick a drive letter. I can click on an existing dwg & C3D will open it. Then my problems reverts to the fact I can only save to "My documents" and not the project location. Super pain in the ass.

This has sort of slowed down out conversion to W7-64. We want the 64 bit OS so more memory is available to the application.

  1. Try inserting a xref. You will find that you have to type in the entire path at the command prompt.

This setup does give you 4 GB of memory for the program so it could give us the time to wait for the x64 version. Maybe C3D 2011 or 2012 will be x64 and actually work.

If we had not switched support maybe I could get someone on the phone like the old place. Instead I have to wait days for each exchange of information. When can we go back?

The bottom line is your system needs a clean reinstall top to bottom to have a chance. There is not even a guarantee that the reinstall of the OS will fix it. The C3D installer can not figure out how to install all the files. It is a joke.
